2. Is dry cleaning really dry?

 

Contrary to popular belief, dry cleaning does not mean your clothing tumbles around in a dry basket of air. The name comes from the cleaning process’ lack of water. Your clothing gets laundered with a specialized liquid solution, then dried, and finished off with a steam press.

3. Does dry cleaning shrink clothes?

 

No our dry cleaning machines are specialized with temperature control and minimal agitation to prevent shrinkage.

4. Does dry cleaning shorten the life of a garment?

No, dry cleaning can actually extend the life of a garment by removing unwanted grime and dirt that can wear out clothes.

5. Which fabrics are best for dry cleaning?

All kinds of fabrics can be dry cleaned, but complex types labeled “dry clean only” especially benefit from finishing.

6. Should I attempt stain removal at home?

If you wish to try to remove a stain on your own at home, please make sure to use the best remedies and stain removal techniques. However, if you wish to have Magic Touch Cleaners take care of your stains, bring your garment to our store. Remember if you’re ever in doubt about a spot or stain bring it to the experts.

7. Is it worth taking clothes to dry cleaners?

While there are items that you can take care of at home, sensitive fabrics may fade in color or stretch in shape in a washing machine or dryer. Also, stubborn stains like grass, might not remove using traditional laundry means. 8. What are your hours of operation?

Our store is open Monday – Saturday 8am to 6pm and closed on Sunday and most American holidays.

9. Does Magic Touch Cleaners do alterations?
 

Absolutely! Our professional tailors are here to help you with any alterations or repairs you may need. Some of our common alterations and repairs include: shortening skirts, dresses, and pants; fixing buttons and zippers; sewing on patches; and bridal and formal wear alterations.
 

10. What is the turnaround time on tailoring?

Most alterations and repairs take 3-5 days for completion. More complicated and involved repair work, such as bridal and formal wear, may take longer.

11. How do your prices compare to the other Dry Cleaners in the area?

12. What is your policy on redoing an item?

​

We will gladly redo an item for any reason you can think of. Whether it is for stain removal, pressing, or anything you’re not happy with, we will redo your item free of charge. In order for us to process a redo we require the original receipt attached to clothing bag and the item needs to be brought back within 48 hours of pick-up.

13. What happens if an item is misplaced or damaged?

At Magic Touch Cleaners we do our absolute best to ensure that 100% of your items are returned to you in better condition than they were received. In the event that something is ever lost or damaged please hold on to your original receipt for that specific order and contact our store manager. All claims and adjustments must be made within 48 hours of original pickup and be accompanied by an original receipt.
